What is Goodbye Blanket Weed?
Goodbye Blanket Weed is a 100% natural, bio-friendly treatment that combines the powers of beneficial bacteria, enzymes and activated barley straw to control blanket weed in garden ponds.
How does it work?
Goodbye Blanket Weed restores your pond's balance by breaking down and digesting the materials in a pond that create algae and blanketweed problems. By reducing the nutrient levels in a pond, blanket weed growth will be reduced.
How do I dose it?
One sachet is to be added to a 1000 gallon pond each week. If you have a 2500 gallon pond, add 3 sachets a week. We recommend that for the first week you double the dose to help to kick-start the process in your pond. Then treat your pond on a weekly basis. It is supplied in no-mess, no-measuring water-soluble sachets which should be added to flowing water in your filter or pond.
Can I overdose?
Goodbye Blanket Weed is not a chemical treatment and adding more than the recommended dose will not harm your plants or fish.
How long does it take to work?
Goodbye Blanket Weed is a living, biological solution for blanket weed and requires the correct pond conditions for it to work effectively. Unlike many chemical algae treatments, Goodbye Blanket Weed is not an instant fix.
Under these conditions, blanket weed will start to reduce after 4-6 weeks. There are 8 sachets in each pack of Goodbye Blanket Weed, giving the average 1000 gallon pond a 7-8 week treatment.
