The BiOrb filter cartridge works like a waste bin, trapping dirt, once full it should be thrown away and replaced with a new one. This should be done every 1-2 months

A partial water change of 20% should be carried out at the same time.

FOR THE BEST RESULTS FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE 8 STEPS.
Ideally perform steps 1 and 2, 24 hours before starting step 3.
The fresh water will need at least 1 hour to stabilize and reach room temperature.
STEP ONE
Wipe the inside of the biOrb to remove any algae growth that may have occurred.
Use the rough side for stubborn marks only.

STEP TWO
Mix the chemical from the sachet of Water Treatment into 10 litres of tap water. Allow water to stabilize for at least 1 hour, preferably 24 hours.

STEP THREE
Turn off air pump. Gently twist in direction of arrow and lift away filter from fixed base unit of biOrb.

STEP FOUR
Siphon 1/3rd of the water from the biOrb. Agitating the rocks will help loosen any trapped dirt. Place siphon tube into filter recess and suck through the holes. Removing the solid waste will help prevent nitrate and phosphate build up.

STEP FIVE
Gently twist in direction of arrow and lift away bubble tube from old filter cartridge.
STEP SIX
Offer up new BiOrb filter cartridge to bubble tube and twist in direction of arrow ensuring all four cartridge tabs are fully locked.
STEP SEVEN
Making sure there are no fish in the way, secure new filter cartridge back into base unit.

STEP EIGHT
Slowly top up with the water prepared in step 2. Turn on air pump. Allow water to stabilize for 1 hour then add chemicals from Stress Zyme sachet.
